Simple website design wins the race, yes, that’s true, we all now have seen many websites with simple look and have huge success,  the biggest example is google, due to their simplicity they have win the race of search engines, simple web design have many advantages on complex, graphically appealing or animated layout,

1. Simple layout is lightweight and loads fast.

2. Visitors easily find links.

3. Visitors feel more comfortable reading contents in simple layout.

4. Easy to navigate.

5. Easy to maintain.

6. Easy to update contents.

If your website header section is simple, your company logo will look more clear, your slogan will look more visible and if you have any links in header bar, they are more easy to find and navigate, but if your website header is more towards busy graphics, your company logo might lost in graphics, your slogan will overlooked and its hard to find links in header bar.

While making left navigation or right navigation (whatever your website have), try to make it simple, don’t put fancy background behind links, try to manage your links in sections, like main menu, resources, company menu, support menu etc, a little line at right links helps which makes it separate from other contents, colors of links should be more visible than other contents, links should be bold.

Footer is also very important like header, put all important link in footer, you have links in header, have links in left navigation and right navigation, put them all in footer and put them in sections, at left side of footer your small version of your company logo looks cool with copyright statement, in rest of the section you can put links.
