Is Flash Animation Right For My Website?

73325075

This is the first thing comes in client mind, ” i need animation in my website”, I don’t know but if you ask this question to the client, do u feel comfortable reading while people dancing around you haha, I don’t think people usually like animation on website, animation is annoying, it hurts your client attention, but if you still don’t convince, OK, lets use flash on website, here is how you can use flash animation on website without hurting your client badly haha.

1.     Animate Your Logo Or Company Name.

Your logo is the best place to animate, ONLY LOGO and only once when your website loads, that’s it   and this is also a good idea to just blink the line under your company name, or just a little shadow of your company name fades, sophisticated effect isn’t it.

2.     Drop Down Flash Animated Menu.

Drop down flash menu looks cool and give more appealing effect, it doesn’t  distract attention of client, looks more user friendly makes your navigation looks good.

3.     Use Header Animation But With Cautions.

Header animation but with caution, it should be light weight, not like it take life to load, play only once and than have link to replay, but usually try to avoid header animation, just make little wording comes on picture with little animation is more appealing.

4.     Don’t Ever Make Whole Site in Flash.

Don’t EVER make your whole site in flash, unless it is for fashion designing or things like that, otherwise its waste of time and waste of money (flash websites are much more expensive than html sites) and distract your client badly.

5.     Make A Movie Type Presentation Which Loads Static.

Make a movie type presentation, which loads static with page but have play link on it, so if someone have time and wants to see your products animated, let them fulfill there dreams haha.

These are little tips of using flash on your site effectively, let me know what do you think of the article.
