Writing contents for your own website looks like lots of work?, isn’t, yes, but you are the best person to write your own copy, why?, because you know your topic well, just don’t think “ I m not a writer”, start writing in your own language, write like you are telling your friend about your field, don’t try to make good sentences and don’t choose difficult words.  

Use dictionary not for finding difficult word but to find easy words for difficult words, people don’t read comfortably with difficult words, difficult words or technical words distract their attention, ..write for layman, don’t think that people who come to your site already know about your field or know technical words of your field, make them understand your field in simple word.

 

If you start writing your home page where people first come when they type url of your site, don’t start with “welcome to my site”,  start with something what people are looking for, if you are selling calling cards for phone, start by,

 

“Are you paying too much for international calls?”

 

this will grab the attention of visitor, because people are looking for solution for their problem online. Understand your visitor problems and give them solution, your visitors will love you and if you don’t even have good writing skills, they appreciate you because you have solve their problem.

 

Don’t exaggerate, just tell them the truth, if you are writing about your achievements and you have some figures to tell, for example, you have 753 satisfy clients in six months, don’t tell that you have more than 800 clients, just tell them we have 753 clients in six month, this will make them trust you more.

 

Writing content is fun, if you are looking for your career in online business, words will be your identity, just write what your are and you see people will love you.
